| Good Omens Stamping Community |
[25 Jul 2008|01:23pm] |
*promotepromotepromote*
A stamping community is a group that allows you to submit an application for other group members to look over and then, based on your information, vote on which character you're most like. In return, you get a fancy stamp to put on your profile.
More to the point, there's now a Good Omens stamping community called next_saturday, of which I am a member, and we're a bit starved for members. So come on in, vote for other members, and submit your own application!

Sorry for the delay of the noir strip, it is being aworked on. In the meantime, here's an interval with Mae's guest appearance :
( Not Your Parents' Prime )
As I said on DevArt : barring the fact that I have no idea how to draw Prime, this must be my best work ever.
This was also crossposted on my own LJ, so I apologise for repeated spam of this. You can tell I must really like it.

| A Poll to find out which episodes we like Bodie's looks in... |
[25 Jul 2008|06:49pm] |
Following my last post, I was inspired to create a poll to find out which episodes we love the lads' looks in, and which we don't (well, the ones where we like them slightly less, let's say). Typing this out was exhasuting, so we just have Bodie for now (if anyone wants to step in and do the same for Doyle, be my guest!).
So, the idea is to look through the list of episodes and give a tick for every episode in which you think Bodie is looking *particularly* gorgeous. Try to be an incey bit selective, or they'll all have the same number of votes ;)

1. Add a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you.

| 08-004 ~ Boy Next Door |
[25 Jul 2008|10:22am] |
|
Challenge: Fog Title: Boy Next Door Rating: PG (I think I have some cursing, but I think I removed it... now I can't remember, I FAIL) Dolls: SA Bermann (Trent) and DO Bermann (Christian) Author's Notes: Part of my on-going series of Time Knights. This is a future section and I am curious to hear if people can tell what time period I am decribing. I DID sort of cheat because I spent a little too much time describing stupid things, so I went over by like 8 minutes. :< But I wanted a complete section. Hopefully this is ok.

Okay! I finally remembered a fic I read a while ago and reading fic all night last night reminded me of it.
It's from James' PoV, and he's making wedding plans with Lily. Sirius and Remus are together, but James never really accepted it, but he walks in on them dancing and realizes that they love each other like he loves Lily, and that they've been sort of sad because they won't be able to get married or be open with their relationship like James and Lily can and I just remember that it was a really sweet piece.
And one more request... I would really like to see more of slashiet's/Marta's R/S artwork. I could kick myself because I've loved her art for years and I didn't find out about her slash art until after the site had been taken down :( I know she doesn't want them advertised everywhere, so I can give you my email if you have any to share. :)
Thanks in advance, and thank you to everyone who recced fics for me last time :D I read them all~

| rs_500 opening soon! |
[24 Jul 2008|11:02pm] |
It says in the userinfo that I'm allowed to advertise communities specifically related to the Marauders, sooo... if that rule has changed, feel free to delete this post and I apologize.
I recently created a community caled rs_500. It's a monthly challenge community with fic minimums of 500 words. If I can figure out a way to incorporate art challenges as well, I might, but that'll have to wait until the community is a little bigger than it is now. Every month from the 1st to the 5th players will post challenges as a screened comment (three keywords and one line of dialogue) to that month's sign-up post. I'll distribute the challenges randomly on the 6th, and players post their completed fics from the 25th to the end of the month. There's no obligation to play every month; we're pretty casual and close-knit.
rs_500 has a sister community called hd_500, which is the exact same thing, but for the H/D pairing instead. I only mention it because rs_500 wouldn't exist without hd_500, so I sort of owe it a debt of gratitude.
I hope to see you guys at sometime soon! The first round of sign-ups start on August 1st. Come visit! Stay and play a while!
Apologies if this breaks any rules.

| Fic: Dear Sirius (7/?) |
[25 Jul 2008|03:43am] |
Title: Dear Sirius (part 7/?) Author: duva & fictionalcandie via garderob Genre: Humor/Romance Chapter Word Count: ~ 4100 Status: WIP Chapter Rating: PG-13/T, for language, innuendo, and potentially objectionable content, like Sirius complaining about the lack of NFZ (nudist friendly zones) in winter. Spoilers: Uh, not really. It's so ridiculously AU that it kinda becomes almost completely unspoilerific. Pairing: Pre-James/Sirius (for now). Warnings: AU. Brief strong language. Implied alcohol consumption. Lots of frequently horrible advice. Disclaimer: We are not JKR and do not own these characters — at least, not the ones you recognise. Please don't sue us, Jo! Summary: Thrice weekly in the Evening Prophet's entertainment section, Sirius Black answers all your questions, from the mundane to the complicated to the just plain weird. Previous Chapters: Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three, Chapter Four, Chapter Five, Chapter Six Notes: Most of the important backstory for this — where it differs from canon, anyway — can be found in the newspaper collage at the beginning of the first chapter, but if you're still confused about something, please ask. But really, just enjoy, and make sure to continue watching garderob to keep up with updates; but if you missed any chapters, just follow the above links to get caught up. Remember to comment if you enjoyed this, and to go see The X-Files: I Want to Believe this weekend. ^_^
All right, folks, after not getting any comments — any, and right after fictionalcandie's birthday, too! — on our last chapter, we authors have decided that we should probably explain something that we apparently didn't make clear enough before. This is the last time chapters of this fic will be posted about in any of the communities, until chapter 15. We have no interest in flooding anywhere with posts about this fic, especially since we intend to post rather frequently. Therefore, if you want to read the next few chapters as we post them, then you need to keep an eye on garderob itself. Naturally we can't force you to do this, and will of course welcome comments even if they come three weeks after we posted and following a comm-advertised chapter, but we thought we ought to make it ruthlessly clear just once, so that no-one gets confused, and everyone has a chance to stalk the fic. :D

| Schism Shirt Preorder! |
[24 Jul 2008|08:20pm] |
Ehehehehe- okay guys. The next page is drawn and I've started coloring it. I'll have it up within the next week for everyone, kay? :3
Also, finished a few of the silk-screened shirts! And so now, I really need to get a good gage of interest for doing a preorder for them.
 ( Bigger Images )
Of the two proofs, I've got one medium shirt up for sale now at $18 + shipping for anyone interested. Just leave me a comment here if you want it, or fire me off an email at sol AT lost-soleil.com.
For the upcoming preorder, I would really like to have them professionally printed, but this will only be feasible if there's a large enough number of people wanting them. Otherwise, I will be doing them by hand.
Price for each shirt will likely be $20-$25, depending on if there's enough to get them professionally done or not.
I'd love to get a rough idea of how many people would like one, so it'd be a great help if you guys could just fill out the poll below. :D (If you don't want one, then don't fill it out.) XD
Poll #1229180 Schism Shirt Preorder!

Well, this was a fast effort--I managed to sew it all in evening. Not much to say--it went together easily. I still have hooks/eyes to sew on and gathering threads to remove. I've also ordered 3 yards of chiffon for a shawl...hopefully it will come before I fly for out CC!
